What are we all about?
The mission of the Maize School District is to guarantee all students will acquire the critical skills necessary for success through an innovative, academically rigorous curriculum, facilitated by a visionary, progressive staff and an engaged community.
The Maize school district is noted for being progressive and innovative, while at the same time providing a personal, caring atmosphere. Education is individualized to help every child find success. We offer services for students with special needs and full-time counselors and nurses in every building.
The district is located in a small town just northwest of Wichita. We house more than 6,200 students in eight buildings, and are the 12th largest school district in the state. Although we serve a large number of students, we strive to maintain the qualities of a one-room schoolhouse, while at the same time offering state-of-the art technology to students and staff alike.

The Maize school district is fortunate to have the support of many organizations, including the Maize Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), Partners for Progress-Maize Education Foundation and the Maize Recreation Commission.
