Recruiting and Hiring Statement
Purpose: To attract, recruit and retain high quality teachers and administrators in Coffeyville schools, to ensure that students are given the best opportunities to fulfill their potential. Our first priority is to hire the most qualified applicant in any available position. We are constantly and actively recruiting minority applicants. Because our student body is approximately 20% African American, 20% Native American and 7% Latino, we strongly encourage minority applicants, especially African Americans, Native Americans, and Latino minorities to apply for open positions within our district.

Coffeyville USD 445 school district is located in southeast Kansas on the Oklahoma border; about 70 miles from Tulsa, Oklahoma and approximately 135 miles from Wichita, Kansas. SCHOOLS
Coffeyville Unified School District #445 has a diverse student population comprised of four attendance centers:
· Field Kindly High School is a 9-12 center with approximately 560 students
· Roosevelt Middle School is a 7-8 center with approximately 300 students
· Community Elementary is a PK-6 center with about 1040 students
· NADO, our alternative school has 40 students
Our large 4-A school district operates a budget of $24,357,987.
INSTRUCTION
USD 445 employs three instructional coaches, a technology integration specialist, a math coach and an induction specialist for the express purpose in helping teachers implement scientifically proven teaching strategies, help new teachers with classroom management skills, and train and help teachers implement the latest technology strategies in the classroom.
TECHNOLOGY
Coffeyville USD 445 operates a large technology budget and incorporates the latest technology in the classroom, including smartboards, clickers, projectors in every room, IP phone system, four computer labs, and Intel training.
