| 45% | LCP, DATA, KAN DISK, AND EDEN DATA - Coordinates the implementation of all data requirements for the Title Programs and Services Team as specified by the US Department of Education, working with KSDE IT department
- Manages the LCP system for the Title Programs and Services Team, which includes working with KSDE IT department to upgrade system, training team on LCP components, and using data from LCP system for reports.
- Serves as Data Steward for Title Programs and Services Team. Works with KSDE IT department to integrate team data with other agency databases and collection systems. Primary responsibilities include (1) identifying and managing data, (2) identifying and resolving data quality issues, (3) communicating data quality issues and problems for resolution, (4) communicating data changes to those who need to know, (5) determining business and security needs of data, (6) defining requirements for archiving data, and (7) providing input to data analysis. Maintains Title Programs and Services Meta Data elements, and establishing the transition of data elements routine in the meta data repository between the KAN-DIS and theEDENdata elements.
- Ensures appropriate data is collected from the field.
- Manages a majority of EDEN files in the agency which require meeting federal report deadlines
- Trains consultants to review EDEN data in their area.
- Works across teams to run appropriate data and then reports to USDE.
- Coordinates the Help Desk for KANDIS, Migrant data base, graduation and dropout summary report.
- Serves as team contact for surveys and data requests
- Participates in federal and state audits and monitoring visits as required.
| | 30% | MIGRANT - Maintains help desk for Migrant programs and issues related to KIDS system.
- Processes reports from the KIDS system for Migrant issues.
- Mange the CSPR data for Migrant.
- Trains the field on data base for Migrant, COE issues, Identification and Recruitment Training and provides technical assistance as needed.
- Collaborates with KSDE IT team to create a system to integrate Title III data into the AYP system to collect data
| | 10% 10% 5% | PROJECT COORDINATION - Work collaboratively with multiple KSDE teams as a project coordinator :
*Develop and manage a detailed project plan for assigned projects and ensure that resources and clear direction are available for each step in the plan so that the project can remain on schedule. *Coordinate activities in the project plan, keeping communication going and gaining commitment for proceeding with the work. *Report on progress of projects; identify roadblocks and participate in resolving issues. *Assist with hosting and developing an agenda for meetings and conferences. *Prepare for and facilitate multiple group meetings. *Summarize advisory committee activities and disseminates the summaries to multiple audiences. TECHNOLOGY RESPONSIBILITES - Serves as the Title Program and Services Team representative on KSDE’s technology committee, responsible for keeping the team current on all agency technology initiatives.
- Writes business rules as need for technology programs that are the responsibility of the Title Programs and Services Team.
- Provides routine support and annual training to school based KAN Disk users. Answers all inquiries for guidance on data entry, content standards and business rules. Develops all field training sessions for data entry clerks state-wide including a series of workshops each year prior to the opening of the KAN Disk reporting windows.
- Work collaboratively with IT on software applications and other technology-related tasks. Serve on the related committees.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned, which includes but not limited to: using the internet for downloading documents, researching as required. |
