USD #437 Auburn Washburn is a suburban school district located just south and west of Topeka, Kansas. With a current enrollment of more than 5,800 students, the district is comprised of seven elementary schools, a middle school, a student learning center, an alternative school, and a high school. Major facility renovations are currently taking place throughout the school district including the recent completion of Farley Elementary School, an environmentally designed state of the art (ECC-6th grade) building, which opened in August of 2009.

USD #437 continues to be recognized as one of the finest public school systems in the state of Kansas. The district shares a deep commitment with the community to deliver an exemplary, world class education for all students. The teachers enjoy the benefits of an attractive salary schedule (with the highest base salary in the Topeka region), health insurance, generous sick leave, tuition reimbursement, and low teacher to student ratios. New teachers to the district receive three days of orientation, specialized training, an assigned mentor, and become immediately involved in a nationally recognized staff development program.
